With Kizeo Forms, you will be able to\u00a0<strong>create a standard list that avoids having to input the same list each time!<\/strong>\u00a0We call this an\u00a0<a href=\"\/\/kizeoformscom.kinsta.cloud\/en-us\/understanding-external-lists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">External list<\/span><\/strong><\/a>. In this tutorial, we teach you how to create this list from Excel.<\/p>\n<p>You must use Microsoft Excel 2007 at least in order to<strong>\u00a0register your list in .xlsx format<\/strong>. If you do not have the Microsoft Office suite, you can download the trial version of obtain the full pack on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/products.office.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">partner&#8217;s site<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>The different kinds of lists.<\/h2>\n<p>There are various forms of lists on Kizeo Forms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The\u00a0<strong>Simple list<\/strong>: this is a list of towns and cities, for example.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><a href=\"\/\/kizeoformscom.kinsta.cloud\/en-us\/understanding-using-hierarchical-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Hierarchical list<\/a><\/strong>: this is a list with several levels (up to 9). For example, you can create a list that offers you a certain number of regions, where each region offers you the corresponding departments, and finally each department offers you the corresponding cities.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><a href=\"\/\/kizeoformscom.kinsta.cloud\/en-us\/understanding-the-referential-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The referential list:<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0this allows several fields to be linked to a list (up to 49). During input, when an item is selected from this list, the data linked to that item will be automatically inserted into the field provided for that purpose. You can, for example, create a list of persons involved. When one of these is input, their address and telephone number will appear automatically.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><a href=\"\/\/kizeoformscom.kinsta.cloud\/en-us\/referential-hierarchical-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The referential and Hierarchical list<\/a>:<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>this, following a list of several levels (9), allows automatic input of the fields linked to that list (up to 49). This may be an abbreviation, code or reference, for example.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"\/\/kizeoformscom.kinsta.cloud\/en-us\/understanding-using-filtered-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>The filtered list<\/strong><\/a>: this will display or hide the elements of an external list according to the information shown in the user profiles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Step 1.
