During entry, when an item is selected from this list, the data linked to that item will be automatically inserted into the field provided for that purpose. The field for this automation is the <strong><a href=\"\/\/kizeoformscom.kinsta.cloud\/en\/the-reference-element\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Reference<\/a><\/strong> field (<strong>Calculation<\/strong> field always allows it). The goal is to prevent the application user from entering data already known by the company. This saves time and avoids entry errors.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Step 1 : Create your Referential list.<\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">From an Excel file.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This option is by far the best one when you want to create long lists. IMPORTANT \/! The way you are going to write this list is important because it will define it. as well as the price in kg, these will be put in the fields provided for this purpose (<a href=\"\/\/kizeoformscom.kinsta.cloud\/fr\/element-reference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Calculation<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Reading will be by column: Column 1 is defined by the fruit, column 2 is defined by the origin and column 3 is defined by price per kg.<br \/>\n<strong>A referential list may contain up to 49 &#8216;ref&#8217; columns.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #95c01f;\">Note<\/span>:<\/strong> How do we generate this vertical bar, called &#8216;Pipe&#8217;, which separates each item in the list?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On PC azerty keyboards, Alt Gr + 6; qwerty keyboards, Alt Gr + &#8220;1|&amp;&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>On Mac azerty keyboards, Alt + Shift + I; qwerty keyboards, Alt + 7.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #55C96B;\">Note:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some characters are forbidden for technical issues, such as &#8220;; \/.<\/li>\n<li>If your list is going to evolve in a regular way, we advise you <strong>enable<\/strong> your settings.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Step 3 : Set the Reference field<\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Insert a <strong><a href=\"\/\/kizeoformscom.kinsta.cloud\/en\/the-reference-element\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Reference<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> <span style=\"color: #333333;\">element<\/span><\/span> in your form and go into its properties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Under <strong>Properties <\/strong>of the <strong>Reference<\/strong> field, make the proper setting. Select the field corresponding to your <strong>Referential list<\/strong> (here &#8216;List&#8217;) under &#8216;Fields&#8217;. Under &#8216;Column&#8217;, call the desired column. In our example, three columns. By default, the <strong>Reference<\/strong> field is not editable.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Results on mobile device.<\/h2>\n<p>See the result below.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kizeoformscom.kinsta.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/referential-list-mobile.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-76252 size-full\" title=\"Results on mobile device \" src=\"https:\/\/kizeoformscom.kinsta.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/referential-list-mobile.gif\" alt=\"Results on mobile device \" width=\"269\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is a simple example, but you can obviously imagine a more complex referential list.<br \/>\nFor example, a customer list with various fields that involve a phone number, address, email, etc. or a list of buildings with various items corresponding to each site.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Associate a Referential list with a bar code field.<\/h2>\n<p>The objective here is to be able to enter a <strong>bar code<\/strong> and obtain the associated information that will automatically insert into the <strong>Reference<\/strong> field settings.<\/p>\n<p>For example, you are selling bottles of fruit juice.
